Recently a number of BNI Tarporley members attended a Social Media workshop presented by Andy Wooles, which looked at why and how local businesses can harness the power of blogs, Facebook, Twitterand LinkedIn to communicate more effectively with their clients and prospects.
The feedback from the event was positive and enlightening:
“Changed my views about Facebook – I WILL make the time!”
“If you want your business to prosper – Social Media is the most effective way to communicate”
“Very stimulating and thought provoking – a Call to Action”
“Superb overview of the world of benefits of Social Media. A springboard for action!”
Everyone left the workshop convinced that the Social Media, such as Facebook and Twitter, should be an integral part of every business’s marketing strategy.

Dear People of the World
I would like to tell you about Mary Ashford and Greg Daly and about the excellent, flexible and highly professional service they provide in corporate photography.
In this time of concern and risk on spending any money on services, a well-designed and created photographic image can create that vital element of confidence that is the deciding factor. With me, recently arrived from Spain to set up a business in UK, it was a key part of my marketing plan to use photographic images in both PR material and our corporate websites, in Spain and in UK.
From the very first, Ashford Daly Photography proved they were the best choice – with patience, thousands of images taken and provided, a charming manner and a very fine professional eye – leaving me with lasting images I can use again and again for my marketing needs.
They attended a networking event I was speaking at. They came to our UK headquarters at Keele University. They even attended our launch of a new office and brand in Madrid, Spain. At all these events, they showed that they are not only consummate professionals, but extremely fine people who I am proud to consider as my friends.
I can recommend them most strongly to anybody interested in turning those lasting images to their professional advantage, guaranteeing results that directly affect that all-needed bottom line.

Howard Worth are running two breakfast seminars to discuss the Chancellor’s Pre-Budget Report.
With less than six months until a general election and the economy still in recession, this year’s report has been widely anticipated and they invite you to join them in order that their Tax and Finance Team can outline how the announcements will affect your business.
There are two opportunities to attend a seminar:
15th December – Wychwood Suite, Wychwood Park Golf Club, CW2 5GP.
16th December – Drake House, Gadbrook Park, Northwich, CW9 7RA.
Registration will commence at 8:00am, with a light breakfast being served. At 8:30am the presentations will begin and they aim for a 9:30am departure after questions.
A lively presentation usually gets the day off to a good start and they are sure this will be up to their usual standard!
To reserve your place please email your reservations to Allison Vidler at events@howardworth.co.uk or telephone 01606 369000.

I came across this video on a marketing blog, and thought it was a great illustration of how even the most routine messages can be delivered in style!!
It also shows how giving employees some latitude can bring real benefits back to the company. Watch the video , then read the article to see what happened at the South West Airlines annual shareholder meeting.
