Peckforton wins ‘Small Hotel of Year’ award

The achievements of Cheshire’s top-performing tourism businesses were celebrated in style during this year’s glittering Visit Chester & Cheshire Awards presentation evening.

The sell-out event at Chester Racecourse saw popular presenter Mark Durden-Smith announce the winning nominations across 14 categories.

He commented: “Excellence in all areas is essential for a business not only to survive but to thrive in these trying economic times.

“All tonight’s winners have demonstrated that a commitment to quality, standards and going that extra mile can – and do – spell success.

“All those involved in this year’s awards – whether winners or runners up – have helped cement Cheshire’s well-deserved and ever-growing reputation as a welcoming county that has much to offer people of all ages and interests.”

A great testimonial to the hard work of the Naylor family and their dedicated team.
This follows on top of  the recent success of the chefs at Peckforton Castle who  received two coveted Rosettes from the AA.
The travel organisation sent out a “mystery diner” inspector to assess the quality of food and standard of service in the castle’s 1851 Restaurant.
He was so impressed with the Peckforton Castle team that he awarded a double winner with two AA Rosettes.
The criteria for the awards is for the best of local restaurants, offering higher standards and better consistency with greater precision in the cooking, and obvious attention to the quality and selection of ingredients.
