A great testimonial to the hard work of the Naylor family and their dedicated team.
This follows on top of  the recent success of the chefs at Peckforton Castle who  received two coveted Rosettes from the AA.
The travel organisation sent out a “mystery diner” inspector to assess the quality of food and standard of service in the castle’s 1851 Restaurant.
He was so impressed with the Peckforton Castle team that he awarded a double winner with two AA Rosettes.
The criteria for the awards is for the best of local restaurants, offering higher standards and better consistency with greater precision in the cooking, and obvious attention to the quality and selection of ingredients.

Our Most Successful Visitor Day!

BNI Visitor Day at the Portal Hotel, Tarporley

BNI Visitor Day at the Portal Hotel, Tarporley

Over six weeks of planning and activity by its members culminated in BNI Tarporley holding its most successful Visitors Day ever on May 15th.

Despite torrential rain, over 50 guests had arrived at The Portal by 7am to find out how BNI networking might help them to grow their businesses.

The informal networking was going strong and the bacon butties had been replenished a number of times before the more formal part of the meeting started.

This was hosted by David Williams, Regional Director for BNI in Cheshire and North Wales and took the visitors through the structure of a BNI meeting, explaining the agenda and how this has been proven around the world to deliver real results to the members.

At the end of the meeting, a number of visitors submitted their application forms to join the Chapter, and subsequently six people have been approved by the Chapter Membership Committee to become members.

The current members of BNI Tarporley welcome their latest new members:

Ken Critchley, Mike Kerrich, Chris Jones, Sue Whaley, Robert Kisby, & Peter Humphries

Plus a number of other attendees are visiting the Chapter over the forthcoming weeks to experience a more typical BNI meeting.

If you want to find out whether membership of BNI Tarporley could help your business, fill in the Contact form or just call/email any member.

Door Prize with a Difference

Every week, one member of the Chapter has the privilege of presenting their business to fellow members for 10 minutes. As a ‘thank you’ , that member provides a ‘Door Prize’  which is given to one member chosen by randomly selecting a referral slip (the more referrals you give, the greater your chance of winning!).

Last week, Jessica Byron of Peckforton Castle donated a very different ‘Door Prize’ - an hour with the birds at the Peckforton Falconry. And who better to win it than Mary from Ashford Daly Photography who was able to capture some exceptional souvenir images of her prize.

A Tale of Two Chapters

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness,….” - Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities

Membership of BNI can mean a lot more than just your local Chapter as two of our members have proved, bringing together BNI Chapters in Tarporley & Madrid.

At the end of May 09, Greg & Mary of Ashford Daly Photography are going to Madrid with John Bendel of OH2 International, to cover John’s new Madrid office launch, and both businesses will be using the trip as a great cross-marketing initative , and to do some other commercial work whilst there too.

Following his positive experiences as a member of  BNI Tarporley, John persuaded his Spanish colleagues to join the BNI Chapters in Barcelona and Madrid.

Ashford Daly will be visiting the BNI Madrid Chapter’s breakfast meeting with John during the visit, giving both businesses a great opportunity to show how a bit of time spent having 1-2-1 sessions, can achieve a lot if you think outside the box.
